In addition to assisting Wisconsin’s health professions training programs to establish community-based training sites, Wisconsin AHEC offers several opportunities for students outside their regular curriculum. The Wisconsin Express program is a week-long program held annually in May open to all currently enrolled health professions students in Wisconsin. The Public Health Internship program pairs students with mentors and projects in Wisconsin’s local health departments for summer intern experiences. The AHEC Centers also have a variety of summer camps and health careers programs for middle and high school students.
