2005 National Workshop: Community and Culture
Held October 9 - 11, 2005 in Madison, Wisconsin

The fourth National HETC Workshop conference provided a forum for HETC and AHEC programs to build collaborative efforts and share best practices in developing community driven health outreach programs, including border bi-national health programs, health outreach worker and medical interpreter programs, and programs addressing the special needs of migrant, immigrant and other populations with persistent, severe unmet health needs. This year’s workshop focused on community health workers and health care interpreters in many different cultural communities.
